6.12. The carburetor - check and adjustment

Adjustment of speed of idling and composition of fuel mix
1. You watch Chapter 1.
Check of system of bystry idling

11:2á Examine a hose of a diaphragm of system of bystry idling (1) on existence of cracks and wear tracks - disconnect a hose before check of a diaphragm; turn off two screws (2) for removal of a diaphragm; for adjustment of a diaphragm the adjusting screw (3) serves


11:2í Examine the hoses and wires connected to a diaphragm of system of bystry idling (1) - turn off two bolts (2) and remove a fixing arm of the solenoid


2. Check vacuum hoses and wires of the solenoid of system of bystry idling (11.2a and 11.2b).
3. Connect the vacuum pump to a diaphragm of system of bystry idling. Connect a tachometer. Start the engine and leave it to work in the idling mode.
4. By means of the pump create depression in 295 mm of a mercury column. Depression has to increase. If is not present, replace a diaphragm.

11.9 Take away a rod in the direction specified by an arrow, and disconnect a diaphragm rod from the lever


9. Disconnect a returnable spring of the lever of a butterfly valve. Turn off two fixing screws (11.2a), disconnect a diaphragm rod from the switching-off lever (11.9) and remove a diaphragm.
10. Establish a new diaphragm and connect a vacuum hose.
Adjustment
11. Check and adjust idling speed.
12.   Remove  a fixing  arm  of the solenoid (11.26). Disconnect the socket of connection and connect the solenoid directly to the accumulator.
"13. Slightly open a butterfly valve a little and increase the speed of operation of the engine to 2000 rpm, then slowly close it.
14. Check the speed of operation of the engine and adjust it, rotating the adjusting screw (11,2a).
15. Repeat the operations described in point 13 and again check the speed of operation of the engine.

11:16 For adjustment of speed of operation of the engine in the mode of bystry idling at turning on of the conditioner, tighten up the adjusting screw of a butterfly valve (it is specified by an arrow)


16. Start the engine and turn on the conditioner. The electromagnetic valve has to open and depression of an inlet collector has to open a diaphragm. Check the speed of operation of the engine in this mode and adjust it if it is necessary, having tightened up the adjusting screw (11.16).

17. Switch off ignition. Remove the electromagnetic valve  and  disconnect   the connection socket (11.2b).
18. Check resistance of a winding of the solenoid and replace the valve if it is necessary.

11.19a For check of windings of the electromagnetic valve disconnect the socket of connection and measure resistance between the specified plugs (for the ventilating valve of the float-operated camera measure resistance between the specified plug and the negative plug of the accumulator) and compare the received values to the values specified in the section of technical characteristics:

1. Electromagnetic valve of adjustment of composition of mix
2. Concentrating valve
3. Fuel interruption in supply valve
4. Ventilating valve of the float-operated camera

11.19d When replacing the electromagnetic valve remove the plug (1) from a reverse side of the socket of connection, having pressed on the uvula located near the plug, the screw-driver. For removal of the electromagnetic valve of ventilation of the float-operated camera (2) turn off three fixing screws


19. Disconnect the connection socket. Check resistance of windings of solenoids and replace them if it is necessary (11.19a, 11.19b, 11.19v, 11.19g and 11.19d).

11:20 For check of the sensor the provision of a butterfly valve disconnect the socket of connection and measure resistance between plugs 2 and 3


20. Check resistance between plugs 2 and 3 of the sensor and check that resistance gradually changed when opening a butterfly valve (11.20).
Adjustment

11:21 Check that the cam of bystry idling was free (the lever should not rest against a cam)

21. Warm up the engine. Weaken a tension of a rope of an accelerator and check that the cam of bystry idling was free (11.21). Kill the engine.

11:22 Turn off adjusting SAS-1 and SAS-2 screws that the butterfly valve was completely closed, counting speed


22. Including speed, turn off adjusting screws of speed of operation of the engine (SAS-1 and SAS-2) (11.22) that the butterfly valve was completely closed.

11.23a If on your car such type of the sensor the provision of a butterfly valve (1) is established, for its adjustment use the screw (2).


11.23b If on your car such type of the sensor the provision of a butterfly valve is established, turn off fixing screws and adjust the sensor, having turned it

23. Check sensor tension at the included ignition between plugs 2 and 3 and adjust it if it is necessary, rotating the adjusting screw or having turned the sensor (11.20, 11.23a and 11.23b).
24. Switch off ignition.
25. Twirl adjusting SAS-1 and SAS-2 screws on the same speed that they were turned off.
26. Adjust an accelerator rope tension. Start the engine and check idling speed.
Check and adjustment of a damper of the carburetor
27. Warm up the engine and switch off all electric equipment.

11:28 When the engine works in the idling mode, open a butterfly valve so that the lever concerned the SAS-3 screw

28.  Completely  open a butterfly  valve that the rod concerned the SAS-3 (11.28) screw.

11:29 Close a butterfly valve so that the SAS-2 screw concerned the lever and check the speed of operation of the engine


29.  Close  a butterfly  valve  so that the SAS-2 screw concerned the lever (11.29) and check idling speed.
30. If speed differs from specified, adjust a damper, rotating the SAS-3 screw.
31. Take away the lever and check that the speed of operation of the engine slowly returned to idling speed.
Check of the air gate

11:32 Check that marks in the case of a spiral and the gate coincided

32. Check that marks in the case of the gate and a bimetallic spiral coincided (11.32).
33.  When the engine cold squeeze out an accelerator pedal, the air gate has to be completely closed.
34. Check that at start of the engine the gate was slightly opened on 1,5 mm. If is not present, check a bimetallic spiral, diaphragms of opening of the air gate and vacuum hoses.

11:35 Disconnect a vacuum hose from a diaphragm of opening of the air gate

35. Warm up the engine and switch off all electric equipment   of the car.   Remove   the air filter. Disconnect a vacuum hose from a diaphragm of opening of the air gate (11.35).

11.36a Install the lever (1) on the second tooth of a cam of bystry idling (2)


36. Install the lever on the second tooth of a cam of bystry idling. Start the engine and adjust the speed of operation of the engine if it is necessary, rotating the adjusting screw of bystry idling (11.36a

Check of a bimetallic spiral

11:37 For check of a bimetallic spiral disconnect the socket of connection and check its resistance by means of an ohmmeter

37. Check spiral resistance. It has to make 6 Ohms at the room temperature. If is not present, replace a spiral (11.37).
