Precautionary measures at the handling of the accumulator

The accumulator produces combustible and explosive gas.

• Not to allow sparking at engagement  of poles  of the accumulator with tools.

• Not to allow emergence of naked flame; not to smoke near the accumulator.

•    Not to charge   the accumulator   indoors. The garage or the respective room have to have good ventilation at accumulator charging.

The accumulator contains the poisonous and corroding sulfuric acid.

• Be attentive: accumulator acid should not get into eyes, on skin and on clothes.

• Put on goggles when you work near the accumulator.

• Not to admit children to the accumulator.

• If  acid  got  into  your eyes, at least 15 minutes wash out eyes clear water and immediately see a doctor. If there is an opportunity, on the way to the doctor to continue to irrigate eyes with a damp sponge or a rag.

• If acid got on your skin, thoroughly wash out this part of the body water. If you still feel burning, we recommend to you to see a doctor.

• If acid  got on your clothes, that is danger that acid will get to your body. Immediately take off these clothes. If acid already filtered on your skin, arrive also as it is described in the previous case.

• If acid got into a stomach, it is necessary to drink a large amount of water or milk. After that to accept magnesia with milk, crude egg or salad oil. Then immediately to see a doctor.

• During this period, when the engine functions, it is impossible to perform any works on technical leaving or to charge the accumulator Make sure that all power consumers are disconnected.

• As for grounded - a cable, disconnect its clips first of all, and attach - finally.

1. Check: whether is not present at the accumulator of the rusted or loosened butt connections, cracks and the weakened fixing brackets.

and. If the accumulator had rust raids, wipe them with warm water in which soda is dissolved. You watch that solution did not get into the accumulator. Grease accumulator poles in order to avoid further corrosion.

During charging the accumulator emits gas.

Before charging it is necessary' to pay attention to the following.

1. To remove the accumulator from the car and if intermediate charging 6A or more is carried out, but at most 15A, remove traffic jams or a ventilating cover. At usual charging less than 5A it is not required to remove traffic jams or a ventilating cover.

2. Make sure that at connection of the loading cable to the accumulator or at a cable detachment  from the accumulator  will extend a charger plug.

3. If charging is carried out when the accumulator is in the car, it is necessary to disconnect surely before charging a clip of the grounded cable.
