1.40.1. If the engine is not started - simple check

If the shaft of the engine does not rotate or rotates slowly
1. If in your car the automatic transmission, be convinced that the control lever costs in a position. "N" or "R".
2. Check reliability of fixing of clips at poles of the accumulator and their purity.
3. Include internal lighting. If it does not gleam or gleams only or dies away when the starter joins, the accumulator means it was discharged.
Cars without catalyst
It is possible to try to start the engine when using the foreign accumulator or if in the car there is a mechanical transmission, start-up can be carried out by pushing.
Cars with the catalyst
The engine it is possible get by means of the foreign accumulator, but not to resort neither to towing, nor to pushing of the car. The catalyst can overheat and then there is a danger of ignition.

If the shaft of the engine is scrolled with usual speed, however is not got:
1. Check fuel level.
2. Check: all butt connections at  the ignition coil, at the distributor and spark plugs have to have reliable landing.
3.  If the engine warm or is a smell of not burned down fuel, possibly the engine received too much fuel. Read instructions for launch of the engine.
Only for cars without catalysts
If the engine nevertheless is not started, turn out spark plugs and dry them. The engine "scroll" about 20 sec. a starter and again twist spark plugs.
4.  If the engine after all is not started, it should be adjusted or repaired. Address to representation Toyota or in a specialized workshop.
Start-up in the course when pushing
If the car has the automatic transmission, its engine it is impossible to start cars by pushing. At the car having the catalyst, the engine cannot be started by pushing of the car too.
1. Make sure that the pushing bar of the pushing car is  at  one  height  with a bar of your car as it is necessary for powerful pushing. If bars not at one height, it can lead to the fact that one bar will hit against another, as a result there can be damages or accidents.
2. Install the ignition key in a position of "ON" and include the 2nd transfer.
3. At the pedal of coupling pressed to the full wait until the pushing  car  gradually  sets in motion your car - to speed about 15 km/h. Remember that the brake pedal should be pressed significantly stronger if the engine is switched-off.
4. At a speed of 15 km/h hold an accelerator pedal approximately to the half pressed and slowly release coupling that the engine could be started.
5. When the engine was started, give to the driver of the pushing car a sign for a stop.
At the same time press a pedal of an accelerator and drive off from the pushing car in collision avoiding.
Never pull the car to start its engine. When the engine is started, the car can suddenly run and put damage to the pulling car.
Start-up by means of the foreign accumulator
In order to avoid injuries of a body and damages of your car because of explosion of the accumulator, chemical burns, burns electric current, damages of electric equipment, it is necessary as it is possible to observe the following instructions more precisely.
If you are not sure that you will be able to execute this process, we recommend to address the qualified mechanic or in customer service. Attention! Accumulators contain sulfuric acid which is poisonous and works razjedayushche. It is necessary to wear goggles when you work near the accumulator. If nevertheless it was not succeeded to avoid it, immediately take off clothes with splashes of acid and wash out the respective sites of skin water at least 15 min. Urgently see a doctor. If there is an opportunity, on the way to the doctor continue to apply water by means of a sponge or a rag.
The gas produced by the accumulator is explosive. Therefore it is impossible to smoke if the engine of your car is started by means of the auxiliary accumulator. The auxiliary accumulator has to have voltage of 12 Volts. Check tension of the auxiliary accumulator before connect it to the car.

1. If the auxiliary accumulator is built in in other car, to pay attention: both cars   should not  concern each other. Disconnect unnecessary consumers of the electric power in both cars.
2. Unscrew all traffic jams of both accumulators. Lay rags on open openings - thanks to atom        danger of explosion decreases.
3. If    starting    help is given in the car from which the engine is switched-off, include it and let's work several minutes. During process of auxiliary start-up the engine has to work with speed about 2000 about. min.
4. Attach cables in the correct order as it is specified in the drawing. Plus to plus (+). Minus - to the engine or "to weight" (-)
Pay attention that the cable at first joins to plus - to a pole of the discharged accumulator, and then already the auxiliary accumulator. Then минускабель from minus - poles of the auxiliary accumulator joins stationary purely metal detail, for example, to rhemes bolt of the engine which is a little removed from the accumulator. It is impossible to attach to details or near those parts which move when functioning the engine Carrying out connections, pay attention that connecting cables and plugs even incidentally did not adjoin to anything other, except the corresponding pole of the accumulator and "mass", for example, of engine rhemes bolts. When performing connections do not lean the elbows on the accumulator.
5. Start the engine in the usual way. After the engine was started, let's it work on accelerated single to the course (2000 rpm) - 2 min.
6. Disconnect connecting cables accurately and precisely upside-down: at first minus - a cable, and then plus cable.
7. Be careful during removal of rags which were laid on accumulators - they could absorb sulfuric acid.
8. Reliably twirl all traffic jams. If the reason of a discharge of your accumulator   is not clear   , for example, the forgotten  included  lighting, it is necessary to find out the reason and to eliminate it.

Removal of air from fuel system - the diesel engine
If the fuel tank was completely devastated and the engine stopped, after fuelling the engine can not start working. Then it is necessary to turn on the manual pump, all increasing resistance will not be reached yet.
